About Us
My love for animals has led to a rewarding career working within the Veterinary Industry for over 20 years.
My love for animals began as a young child. I did not have an imaginary friend, I had an imaginary pet cat. As I older, I would take in all the neighborhood strays, in addition to the family pets we already had (my mother was a saint most of those strays became family pets) I got to be "nurse" to all of our family pets/strays. I was acutely aware at a very young age t he sense of accomplishment, and gratification I felt by befriending an animal in need, helping it get better and finding it a loving home
At the age of 17, I obtained a job at Nashoba Valley Veterinary Hospital in Westford Ma as their front desk receptionist. ( Summer job prior to starting business College) It was the first time it occurred to me that I could help animals for a living. I knew I found my life's calling. Fortunately, I was a lousy receptionist and got fired. Thankfully the love and compassion I had for animals was clearly evident. Steven Fromer, practice manager at NVVH then hired me as his vet tech assistant. I had to clean alot of messy cages, but it was worth it to be able to work hands on, being a part of helping that animal get better, and have it go home to its family. Within two years, I worked my way up to NVVH's full time veterinary technician.
Working as a veterinary technician for over 14 years afforded me the opportunity to start a pet sitting service. In 1987 I began pet sitting in a time when Professional Pet Sitting was unheard of. It was an extension for me to continue to work and care for animals. The secondary income it generated was just an added bonus.
In 1998 I left Nashoba to work for Webster Veterinary Supply, a veterinary pharmaceutical distributor. Working as a marketing specialist affords a different opportunity to work with in the veterinary industry. Over the past 10 years I have continued to pet sit, had my son who is now 4 years old, and have earned a B.S in Business Administration. (I thrive in a busy lifestyle) I love working within this industry, but nothing compares to the hands on interactions that are involved with working as a vet tech and pet sitting. Its not work when you love what you do.
With me, your pets experience less stress and greater happiness by staying in their own home. You will actually enjoy your time away because I will be there to care for your pets and home in your absence. It is my goal to give you that peace of mind while you are away.
I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust, spoil your pets, and deliver you the best service in the industry.
